Last month TINSA published the report 'Housing in Costa 2020', which analyses the holiday market in 24 coastal strips located in a total of 14 Spanish provinces, through price data, sales, and new construction licences in more than 100 coastal locations and a survey with local technicians conducted at the beginning of the lockdown. Some keys facts -
-- 61% of the 109 municipalities analyzed increased the average house price in the first quarter of 2020 (pre-19) at year-on-year rate.
-- Malaga, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Cadiz and Guipúzcoa stand out among the most dynamic coastal markets, as opposed to the Garraf (Barcelona) and Azahar (Castellón) coast.
-- Estepona (Malaga) was the coastal municipality where the most new construction licences were approved in 2019, only surpassed by the capitals Valencia and Barcelona.
